BIO

With a deep, resonant baritone that elicits frequent comparisons to artists like Chris Stapleton, Gregg Allman, and Aaron Lewis, Jeff Przech (pronounced “Presh”) is an artist and songwriter originally from Hartford, Connecticut. He draws inspiration from and is influenced by music from a myriad of genres: Classic Rock and Country, Americana, and heavier melodic Rock. Since leaving a career as an English teacher in 2020, Przech has been a full-time working musician, playing close to 150 shows a year in his native Connecticut and New England, across the U.S., and up to Canada. However, a critical and potentially catastrophic injury threatened all that, and much more.

In the summer of 2025 while playing basketball, Przech felt severe pain in his right leg. That pain was the result of a blood clot that threatened not only his leg, but perhaps his life. An extended hospital stay and five surgeries saved his leg, but left Przech with a lot of questions, including whether he’d be able to walk on his own again. While he did eventually regain his ability to walk - albeit a bit slower than before - Przech still had some answers to find regarding his music. “Being in that hospital bed for so long left me a lot of time alone with just my thoughts. It made me realize what’s truly important - and, perhaps more crucially, what’s not important - both in my music career and in my life.”

What he determined was most important, at least musically, was not being relegated to any labels or genre classifications. “I concluded that I don’t want to be put in any boxes musically, or try to fit into one. I am who I am, and my songs are what they are. They determine what they’re going to be. I’m just the messenger. I’m not interested in formats or being labeled, I just want to write good, honest songs that resonate with people.”

Przech’s songs have always relied on narrative writing and soulful, emotive vocals, and his songwriting has been recognized both regionally and nationally. In 2024, "Helena" received an Honorable Mention in the Planet Bluegrass Telluride Songwriter Showcase. In 2023, “Maribelle,” from the Outfit record, was chosen for the Essential Western New England Songbook, which the curators call a “listenable juried anthology of 200 of the best songs ever written by artists who’ve lived in Western New England and whose careers have a significant connection to the area. A virtual “Hall of Fame” of original songs. In addition, he is signed to a licensing deal with highly regarded sync agency Atrium Music. His song “Eden,” from the Sounds Like Fresh record, was featured in the ABC drama Big Sky and "Helena" in CW's The Wranglers.

Przech has played close to 2000 shows in his career and has performed with such diverse artists as Shawn Mullins, Jason Eady, Clay Cook (Zac Brown Band), Lee Brice, Easton Corbin, Pat McGee, and Poco.
